What a game! Last Saturday the UCLA Bruins beat the Cal Bears 37-10 once again proving they can not only bring together a large crowd for a UCLA home game but ensure the crowd of 84,272 saw a great show.
Once the Bruins took the lead there was no way the Bears could catch up. UCLA took its initial 3-0 lead and kept increasing it to 17-0. While Cal managed to cut the lead to 17-10, it wasn’t enough. Before long UCLA put the game away with a 20 point lead, and solidified its unbeaten record.
As anyone knows, the real fun of the game begins many, many hours before kick-off. Throngs of fans tailgated outside the Rose Bowl, including members of the UCLA VC Fund who hosted their own tailgate party. Fund members from northern and southern California came together for a chance to network with new contacts and catch up with old friends.
And in case you needed any more reasons to get excited about the Bruins vs. Bears game, this annual showdown is always a great opportunity to mold a new generation of future Bruins entrepreneurs. Fund members brought their kids to the tailgate party, introducing them to the magical rewards of being a Bruins entrepreneur early on in life.
